Current Morning Skincare Routine
** Today I thought that I would share with you my current morning skincare routine, with emphasis on the word current (I change-up my products so often!). I'm trying to post more regularly so that there isn't a frequent space of nothing followed up by you being bombarded by posts from me. Also, on that note, is there anything you would like to see on my blog? Feel free to comment if you think of a good idea. But anyway, back to the topic at hand, my skin care routine...
I don't think that I will ever be one of those people who just stick religiously to one brand, I love being able to chop-up and change my products according to what I fancy that day. A friend who works in the skincare industry has scolded me for this, stating that it may cause problems with my complexion, but so far (thank lordy) I haven't noticed anything.
One thing I do use every day though, is just a basic makeup wipe, so that I'm able to get rid of any excess makeup left from the previous evenings cleansing. I'm never really fussed about what brand my makeup wipes are, to be honest they all do the same job! The ones shown in the photo are just from Asda.
I then proceed to cleanse with a cotton pad and my Body Shop Cleansing Cucumber Milk, which smells so refreshing and uplifting! I'm on my third bottle of this, so it's definitely a staple in my skin care collection!
After that I tone, again using a cotton pad. At the moment, I'm favouring my Molton Brown 'Skin Balance' toning lotion, again it's refreshing and I love the citrusy scent it leaves on my skin. Although I wouldn't recommend this if you have dry skin!
My final step is to moisturise my lips, eyes and face. I use three separate products for each area, just so that I'm using the most effective products for each feature. Lip-wise I use my Body Shop 'Watermelon' balm. I love this product, It really does smell good enough to eat and leaves my lips with a pretty, subtle shine. For my eyes, I use an Anew Day and Night eye-cream, this is the first eye product I have used, so I can't really give it a fair judgement. I do like it though, the consistency is light enough for me to apply my makeup on top without it looking odd. Finally, at the moment I have been using a Simple Kind To Skin moisturiser, it's not really a product I would rave about, but it does the job!
What's in your morning skin care routine? I hope you liked this post!
