7 Ways To Be A Little More Positive

**    Worrier, over thinker and occasional pessimist- I will be the first person to admit that I'm all of these things. It's just so easy for me to get overwhelmed and stress over something - exams, work, family, anything, you name it and I will worry about it. So if you're anything like me, I hope you will find this post helpful. It's just a few things I've learnt to remember when I'm having one of those crappy demanding days.

Eat Well. This may seem a little silly, but I often find that on days where I just eat shit (excuse my French), I'm left feeling sluggish and tired. Drinking plenty of water and eating healthy food honestly leaves me feeling refreshed and a little more energised.

A Silver Lining. Even though a situation may seem negative and completely overpowering, there's probably a silver lining surrounding it. - All of your works in on Friday? At least you'll have the weekend to relax (as it's not in on Monday!).

Take Time Out For You. Whether you just take half an hour to watch Eastenders or indulge in a bar of Galaxy accompanied by the latest Glamour magazine. It's important to take time out for yourself and relax, even if it's just for a little while.

See Your Friends. Nope, not a phone call, text or snap chat. I'm talking about a real conversation, a good gossip and a few laughs will be sure to lighten your mood!

Treat Yourself. It's always good to treat yourself, give in to that craving for that lipstick  or nail varnish! I'm not saying go wild, but a little gift 'To Me, From Me' will put you in a positive frame of mind.

Be Your Own Best Friend. I think this is really important, if you feel down you're probably going to start throwing insults at yourself- "why am I so stupid?" "I'm useless!". Sound familiar? Try to compliment yourself more and be proud of what you achieve. See the glass as half-full rather than half-empty.

Don't Hold A Grudge. Finally, stop yourself from holding onto a grudge. I'm probably a massive hypocrite for saying this, I notoriously hold grudges for months on end. However, on the occasion that I do 'just let it go', it's so much easier to move on, instead of letting that annoying feeling nag away at you.

So those are my tips for letting go of stress and becoming a little more positive. It's a bit of a different post, but I hope you find it helpful! Let me know if you just want me to stick to my usual ramblings on makeup!
