Affordable Acrylic Makeup Holders

First of all, let me start the post with a massive "Thank lordy for the lovely ladies who work in Cath Kidston". If it wasn't for them being kind enough to give me a sample of wall paper large enough to be a background for my blogging photos, you'd all be looking at a grungy student room pin board adorned with a mass of scrawls from previous tenants.. According to my board, there's a boy called Tim who desperately wants someone to call him. This is the first real opportunity I have had to sit down and take a breather, and what better way to relax than to tell you all about one of the bargains I have picked up!

I'm sorry about the quality of these photos,  I'm still going to need a bit of time to work out positioning and lighting- so bare with me! I also should have a few exciting bits coming up, including an event at Cath Kidston so keep an eye out for some posts.

Anyway, before I end up digressing any further, lets get back to the topic at hand. Affordable, good quality acrylic makeup holders.. that prevent both your most prized makeup and bank balance getting damaged. I was given two sets of acrylic holders for my birthday from my mum, I had spotted them in TK Maxx and knew that they were exactly what I wanted for my birthday. I think that they are a great way to display your makeup- making any dresser or desk look uber pretty (Also a very well known much loved possession of the Kardashians too!). Whatsmore, they're a great way to store your more expensive makeup without getting them damaged- I always find that just leaving them in a makeup bag entices the opportunity for a powder or eye-shadow to explode and ruin everything that's accompanying it!

I think they were around the £5.99 mark, so not expensive at all compared to some other acrylic holders I've seen on sale. I have one basic holder to store my nail varnish (It's pretty bare at the minute, so I didn't bother photographing it). I also have a larger holder that includes an area to house 12 lipsticks, brushes, gloss, eye-shadow and the largest section to store bigger products (like my Nivea Primer- which will be reviewed soon!).

They a made by a brand called Hotel Balfour,  a company I have never really heard of before. I have taken a quick look online for you guys and haven't been able to find a website for them, so your best bet will be heading down to TK Maxx and seeing if you can find any. It's always worth looking on Ebay too if not.

I hope you're enjoying the week and have something exciting planned for the weekend girls!
Speak soon,
