Review: Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer
On Wednesday, my closest friend and I took a trip to a quaint family-run Italian, hidden away along our small town high-street. Time flew as we chatted away and laughed hysterically about past times (there's something about vibrant Italian food that just attracts good conversation). She later surprised me by handing over a gift bag and card, my birthday isn't until next week but she wanted me to have it before we both left for university. (Hi Neha if you're reading!)
Inside was Soap & Glory's Kick Ass concealer, accompanied by a pot of Nivea's Express Hydration Primer- both products I have been utterly pining for. It was safe to say that I was a very happy girl, despite the fact that our final goodbyes were looming ahead before we left for university.
I have since used the kick ass concealer, it is a-mazing. I have a real problem with the dark circles that practically engulf my eyes. No matter how much product I put on, or which brand I use, the pesky dark circles always seem to rein supreme as the most prominent feature on my face.
Kick Ass has really helped to cover them up, the three-step formula appears to be a lot thicker than anything else I have used in the past. At first I feared it would make my under-eyes appear cakey and creased but to my surprise the concealer stayed put throughout the day. Today I added a little of my 'Me Me Me' highlighter, to brighten up my skin, as my eyes did appear to look slightly too matte and dull.
Aesthetically, the product is more than pleasing to the eye. I love how brands like Soap & Glory and Benefit challenge the other more 'sleek' and formal packaging designs on the market (think Chanel, Bobbi Brown ect) Their fun designs, packed with attitude and humour make the product so much more appealing (well to me anyway!).
Overall, I am really impressed with the formula and staying power, I would recommend it to anyone who has issues with dark circles surrounding their eyes or the odd pesky spot. Soap & Glory's Kick Ass concealer is available at Boots.
Have a good weekend girls!

I am still not sure about Soap & Glory's makeup, I love their skincare but I just don't want to be disappointed by the makeup. I do need a new concealer though so I'll have to go have a look at this!
