The Dream Team; A perfect base.
Oil Free, tick. Cruelty Free, tick. Paraben Free, tick.
Smashbox Photo Finish foundation primer certainly ticks a lot of boxes; and for all the right reasons.
It was only a matter of time until this little guy ended up in my makeup collection.
Luckily, my auntie's good taste and understanding of my ridiculous makeup obsession resulted in a pit stop at duty free and a small brown parcel being posted through my door just over a week later.
(yaay for aunties feeling sorry for you & your student budget!)
I quickly tossed my Nivea Primer to the bottom of my makeup bag and began to try Photo Finish out (I just couldn't wait!).
I teamed Photo Finish with Revlon's Colourstay Makeup, another recent purchase.
A deliberate choice to wear the combo to work (they both claim to have great longevity), left me feeling seriously impressed.
I work in catering as a silver service waitress, so as you can imagine I'm constantly running out of hot kitchens trying to balance a ridiculous amount of plates on my fingers.
Usually my makeup slides off my face within the first few hours, and my skins left oily and feeling grimy (nice).
However, this combo seriously changed things.
I left work with my skin looking just the same as when I had first applied my makeup.
At first I thought it was one off, my skin was having a good day and was for once reluctant to be so oily.
But, when I wore the combo again, I found the same result; flawless skin despite working up a serious sweat in a horribly hot kitchen.
hallelujah!
Tried and tested, this is indeed the dream team of makeup bases.
You need to try it out!

Aw your Auntie sounds lovely. I've always actually wanted to try Revlon's Colourstay Makeup - your post makes it sound worthy of a try so I may just have to check it out! :)
