Rodial Brazilian Tan & A Little Update

I lust after Rodial's products whenever I'm in Space NK. If you haven't heard of them before, they're a luxury skin care brand offering natural alternatives to plastic surgery and injections. I've linked the website here if you want to read a little more about it.

The price tags of their products are usually pretty hefty, so when I stumbled across their Brazilian Tan in TK Maxx, I couldn't ignore it! The RRP for this tan is usually an eye-watering £38.00 (ouch), although in TK Maxx it was priced at a modest £6.99. If you didn't know already (where have you been?!) TK Maxx is the best place to stumble across beauty bargains; Molton Brown, Nip & Fab, Nails Inc and Elizabeth Arden are just a few brands I've spotted in there recently.

Although described as 'clear' on the packaging, the product itself has an obvious tint, when you apply it to your body however, this tint disappears and there's no sign that you have just used fake tan. What I love about Brazilian Tan, is that there is no overpowering scent that you usually get with over fake tan products (St Moriz, I am looking at you). This means that you can leave the house straight after application and carry on with your day as normal, leaving the tan to develop without that ridiculous smell, or the orangey tint you get straight after coloured tan application.

Despite being a gel formula, you just apply this product as you would any other tan. Applying to the body with a tanning mitt, being cautious around dry areas such as your elbows and knees. I would definitely say that the result is 'natural', the gel develops into a very light tan; something I'd use for day to day rather than a night out. This might be because I got the tan in 'fair to medium skin' - In the past I have bought tanning products in darker shades to get a more intense result. However, the light weight , clear formula with little smell means that you can build the product each day, so that you can get a more intense result if you wish.

Overall, I would recommend this tan if you're looking to splurge on a natural day-day tan that doesn't need to be washed off after sleeping. I do think you would be disappointed if you brought Brazilian Tan and expected a really noticeable result like you get with something like St Moriz.

And the update... I found out a couple of days ago that I have got into The University of Strasbourg, to study French and Business over the summer!! How cute is the congratulations card my parents sent me?! I am so excited to be going on my own adventure (as sad as that sounds). I can't wait to see what a French University is like and raid all of the stores that stock Bioderma, of course!

Have a lovely Easter weekend everyone!
