MORNING MUSINGS - TOUCHING BASE

Book: In the Heart of the Sea, by Nathaniel Philbrick is a great summer read! |
It's evident that as soon as my life catches the tiniest glimpse of becoming hectic, the presence of my blog posts go completely a-wall.
The past few months have consisted of a flurry of moving out, moving in (to my parents), job hunting, house hunting (in London - complete nightmare), exams and travelling. I've barely had time to properly touch base and write - which is a shame. Alas however, the flurry of activity seems to have ended as abruptly as it started. I now have three weeks of nothingness - no responsibilities and no job; just packing my stuff into boxes on the to-do list. Thank God.
So, what's new?
- I surprised myself by managing to bag the internship of my dreams - as of July 27th I am Warner Bros' resident publicity intern for European, Asian and Middle Eastern markets. I'm excited to leave my comfort zone of fashion and beauty and try my hand in the world of story telling. It's crazy to think a few years ago I wasn't even considering going to university - it goes to show how far you can go when you find something you're passionate about and are willing to put in a little elbow grease to achieve your goals!
Wish me luck!
- As of yesterday afternoon, I am officially a Londoner! It feels surreal that I'm going to be calling a cosy room in Canary Wharf base over the next 12 months. If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know that I've spent the past 2 years interning part-time for different companies in London. Although I absolutely loved every experience, constantly living out of a suitcase and commuting from Nottingham to the Capital was so draining! Roll on the short (but sweaty) commute to work on the tube!
So, that's big news out of the way.
I'm also hoping to do a couple of posts about travelling in the coming days and maybe even about the change in my diet
(I've become pescatarian since early June!).
